Need help getting my comp. to restart (agp440.sys issue)
My computer (HP Pavilion m495c Windows XP Media Center Edition) won't restart. It gets to the loading Windows screen, the loading thing goes almost all the way across once, and it then reboots. When I do safe mode, the last thing it tries to load is agp440.sys. In reading around online, I've found this to be a common problem, but none of the solutions would help me out. I could reinstall Windows, but it does so off of a partition on my hard drive instead of through a disc (if it was from a disc, then I could try some of the various solutions to the agp440.sys issue).
Anyone have any ideas what I could try? And please, only people with similar experiences or helpful input; no "this is why I use a Mac" stuff.
