windows media 10???

is there any good reason to upgrade to wmp 10 over wmp 9???

i like my system as is and after doing my own research can come up with no good reason to upgrade.

if anyone has upgraded could you explain why you chose that method? and alternatively, if you plan to stick with wmp 9, could you explain your rationale as well?

does anyone have any insight?

I've heard on AVSForum that WMP10 helps with video tearing issues when playing back video using the VMR9 renderer.

Other than that, it feels like a UI update to me and nothing terribly significant. It does have the annoying feature of not hiding the top and bottom control bars properly in full-screen mode...sometimes it turns on and off 5 times in a row for a several seconds even when the mouse isn't moving! Grrr.

Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him...a super-callused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

Gameshow host: "Is taking Viagra kosher during Passover dinner?"
Whoopee Goldberg: "Not if it leads to pork."
Kermit the Frog: "Hey, that's my line!"

I like WM10, no problems here. But I still use Zoom Player 99% of the time.
