Program for FLAC or SHN files

I have quite a few concerts downloaded on FLAC and/or SHN files. Are there any free programs to:

1.convert these to MP3 and retain the naming files (assuming there are naming files incorporated)?

2. Should I first convert these to wave then use EAC to mp3?

3. Do you have any suggestions for ease of use?

Thanks,

Dan

shn looks like a proprietary audio file format.
Anyway, it suggests that this company has software that deals with that filetype http://www.softsound.com/

I second the dbpoweramp recommendation. You can get Shorten and FLAC plugins for it, and it'll encode with LAME right to MP3 from SHN or FLAC.

There's also a shn2mp3 script out there (I think it's Perl, not positive) that'll convert a directory at a time, and attempt to get info from the text info file to plug into the ID3 fields. It's in the etree-scripts package.

mkw Audio Compression Toolkit will batch convert SHN files to/from MP3 and WAV format. It's donationware. This forum won't let me post the URL since I haven't written enough posts yet. Google should find it for you.
