The 2001FP is based on the latest LG panel with 16ms total average response time. It's one of the best LCD panels for gaming. CRT's are still the choice of most gamers though.

I understand that CRT's are still the best in terms of picture quality, just like in the HDTV world, but I would love to free some space on my desk. The response time is extremely fast and no LCD artifacts should be noticed. Thanks for the info.

Moderator Robert Fowkes and I both own the 2001FP

It is by far the best LCD monitor we have seen.

All the PC magazines have rated it #1 as well.
You will see a mention in this month's MAXIMUM PC
magazine.

The DELL 2001FP LCD display has been rated one of the number one LCDs for gaming. I believe July's ( or Junes')2004 issue of Maximum PC did some benchmark testing on LCD displays for gaming and the DELL 2001FP was very close to the CRTs.
