DVD Profiler & CueCat - Will Not Scan

I have a Radio Shack CueCat bar code scanner attached to my computer. It is plugged into the keyboard PS2 Port. This port is normally unused because I have a USB Keyboard. The red LED does light up on the CueCat. I have tried scanning the barcode using the DVD Profiler plug in and with the CatNip Software and can not get it to scan. I did not install the CueCat software. I have searched the forums for this problem and did not find a solution. I think that the problem is hardware related because the CatNip software has a area to do a test scan, and this does not work either. Does anybody have any ideas as to what I am doing wrong ?

Have to done the mod so the output isn't encrypted?

Once you do that anything that is scanned is just like typing on a keyboard.

Also, in case you need them, here is a site with the windows xp drivers: http://www.cuecatastrophe.com/

Try these 2 things and see what it does.
