MyHD card w/ Daughterboard issues
Now that I am actually using the card I have some questions. I have looked at the manual, but
it is so vauge, it really doesn't tell you much more than what one could see just by exploring each menu entry.
1. This is still a issue from the start. In the config panel, the first setting of Video Resolution (default of 1920x1080i) doesn't work with my
Planar 19" LCD. I'm still a little confused with what this is suppose to be for. Is it for the incomming signal off the tuner, or the signal to the
monitor?
2. The native resolution of the monitor is 1280x1014, but when I choose that setting I get digital garbage on the right 1/4 of the screen with the
active picture on the left 3/4. The video card is set to 1280x1024 and all is fine, but the passthrough does something and the monitor won't accept it.
I CAN use 1024x768 on all but one HD channel and 800x600 will work on all channnels. What can be done to get the 1280x1024 to work? This is the
biggest issue I have now BTW.
3. File size; pros and cons on larger or smaller file sizes? The default 2GB seems to give you about 15min. I changed it to 4GB.
Other than just having smaller files is ther any DISAVANTAGE of a larger file size? My HDD's are 80GB & 120GB (the one I use to store video files),
both NTFS running 2k.
4. In the file list setting; what is the difference between the choice of deleting the 'item' or 'file'?
5. How can I change a inf or Regestry file to have the program open up the browser of MY choice? I don't use Idiot Exploiter and having Opera set as
my default doesn't override the programs setting.
6. There isn't any way to get the overlay window to show the image (without going into the HD mode) using the DVI connection? I know you can with thew VGA input.
