The DEFAULT question agian....

How do you set your defaults as far as
DEFAULT web browser and DEFAULT email program?

Particularly, I'd like to switch from IE as
my default broswer to MYIE2.

Thanks in advance for the help.

If you are running XP, you can go to Program Defaults & Settings, available in the PROGRAMS folder.

If your program is not listed there, you will need to see if it can choose to be there. (this options should be there, though)

This procedure is not very accurate.

Went to START, and in the START MENU I saw
the SET PROGRAM ACCESS AND DEFAULTS icon.

Now normally I can do most anything on the
computer without a problem, but trying to
figure out how to set the browser default was
quite confusing.

Is there another way to do this procedure?

By the way, I am using XP.

Steve,

Yes they are.

Your directions were a little more precise and
exactly what I needed.

Thank you both!

Just a note though, Ron Once you've done that (going through internet options) be aware that due to a "bug" some windows updates will change it back So keept track of it
