Dell has an ongoing 25% Discount on the Dell UltraSharp 2000FP 20.1" UXGA TFT LCD Monitor. This thing just flat out rocks. It`s a 20.1" LCD monitor with 1600x1200 native resolution. It gives you a full complement of inputs, VGA, DVI, S-Video, and Composite (so you can plug a VCR in and watch TV on it). The total average response time is 25ms (my Samsung 240T 24.1" TFT has the same 25ms response time, but to tell you the truth, the Dell seems faster). It is bright enough for a very lit room at 240 nits, and has 350:1 contrast (very similar to my Samsung, which is rated at 500:1, go figure). It`s normally $1099.00, but they`re giving a 25% instant discount to drop it down to $824.25 with free shipping. Good while supplies last. Just click on the "Up to 25% Off Select Dell Flat-panel Monitors!"

There is also a 20% off the popular new Dell 1901FP LCD monitor! It`s just $543.20 with free shipping. DVI, VGA, 170 degree viewing angles, 600:1 contrast, 250 nits brightness, 25ms total average response, and adjustable height stand.

Both are available by clicking on the links on the Deals Page of the forum.

yeah they are pushing out the old 2000fp's for the new 2001fps. the new 2001fp is truely to die for, 16ms 20" LCD with a true 24bit panel (no dithering of colors).

anyway, the 2000fp is a great monitor, if your not a big gamer or the like it would be a perfect monitor for those of you that like 'em big!

Anandtech has a very good and thorough review of this monitor here:

Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him...a super-callused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

Gameshow host: "Is taking Viagra kosher during Passover dinner?"
Whoopee Goldberg: "Not if it leads to pork."
Kermit the Frog: "Hey, that's my line!"
