WIndows Media Player acting up (Slowing down songs)
I just had to do a fresh re-install of Windows 2000 at work and I installed Windows Media Player 9. Whenever I play a song, it starts out normal, but after 1 second, it slows down slightly (approx. a whole step lower). The song will continue to play this way until I stop it and start it again (which it will do the slowing down thing all over again).
I've checked to see and there are no "Effects" or processing going on. I've played the same song in WinAmp and it plays fine, I also play it in Cool Edit Pro and it plays fine. (i.e. No slowing down effect)
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I've tried uninstalling the app. and reinstalling and nothing works. I even tried downgrading to version 7 and it still does it.
I do have Creative software on the computer (for my MP3 player), but I've triple checked and none of the "Effects" are on. It's driving me crazy!!!!
