DVD and record at the same time.
Hi, I'm not sure how general this problem is. I can't record tv and play a dvd at the same time. It seems to me that this is a very important feature.
I am recording with showshifter, which interfaces the card through the directshow filter.
As I understand it, the directshow filter can't be accessed by two programs at once, so I need a dvd player that doesn't use this filter. Is this a possibility? I can watch divx movies or mpeg1 while recording, so why not mpeg2?
Can anyone record tv and watch dvd at the same time? How do you do it? It would be nice for people who are building an HTPC to understand this issue
