Power supply fan not moving causing overheating/shutdown?

The power supply in my PC is shutting down after 20-30 minutes. After awhile I can turn it back on. I think it's because the power supply's fan isn't moving. If I poke a screwdriver in and start the fan, it WILL turn for a little while but eventually stops again and the cycle starts again.

Can I spray WD40 in there to lube the fan? Or do I need a whole new power supply. The PC is only 1 year old.

The fan in the PS or the entire PS needs replacing. Unless you know what you're doing I wouldn't recommend poking around inside a PS. Could get hurt.

Don't think WD will help you at all, but it might. Usually there is a sticker covering the access to the bushing/bearing area so you'll have to peel that off.

If the PC is not quite a year old the PS is most likely under warranty still.
