I have a final batch of pictures to post including these displays. They were stunning. They also had a projector, but no one could tell me anything about it.

Looking at these models with the black gloss frames, it looks like light is reflecting off them. To me that this is a distraction and while black gloss is attractive, a nonreflecting flat black would be a better way to go.

The overlit show floor and my camera flash are not the equivalent of a typical home viewing environment. The gloss black shouldn't be a problem under normal use. Sharp's new Aquos 1080P LCD line also has a gloss black frame and I think Pioneer Elite sets do as well.
