New guy needs help
This will be my first home theater venture. It's confusing as to where to go to get the right products. I have a large open room and want to, at a minimum, get a good 3.1 home theater sound. I'm limited as to what the wife will sign off on- no floorstanding or wall mounted with more than around 8 " deep. In-wall is a possibility but due to other space problems and sound concerns, I would prefer a compact speaker
Today I saw the B&W XT2 in a small room and was really impressed, even though it seems a little pricey. The salesman said that I would definitely need a Rotel receiver to get the most out of the B&W speakers.
I would really appreciate any comments and suggestions you guys might have for me.
