VGA to RCA Component cable.

Hi everyone. Well, I recieved a VGA to Component cable today and upon inspecting it I noticed that one of the fifteen pins was missing. I tested it right away and it appears to be working. My question is am I not getting the full video quality without this pin? I mean it's there for a reason, right?. Or is it ok to use it without it? I have some time to decide to return it for a replacement or just keep it.

Thanks.

Re: VGA to RCA Component cable.

It's the #9. Key - no pin. Well, that answers my question. Thanks! BUT. I've seen photos where all the pins are there. That's why I assumed it was missing one. Are there different kinds?

Thanks again.

Re: VGA to RCA Component cable.

pin 9 can be there with no problem, but to save .00000015 cents, many of them are left out.
