New Guy with question
Hi everyone,
I've been browsing around the forum for a couple of days only, but been reading alot on the net for a while. But still can seem to weigh out pros or cons for a decision I need to make.
Ok so here it is. I have been running for 8 years now with my first Ht setup
Kenwood vr 3080
HKTS 1 (5.1 kit)
Pionner DV525
I will be moving in two months, so decided to FINALLY upgrade my TV and just bought the Sharp LC42D64U.
With this I bought a HD-PVR.
Keep in mind that in 3 to 4 years I will be building my HT room.
Now I have a couple of bucks I could spend( 500$ - 600$):
1st scenario:
Change my receiver, in this range should I find something with HDMI, or rather go with something like Yanaha RXV-659 without HDMI.
2nd scenario:
I feel the speakers will look really small with that big room and the big tv. I was wondering If it could be possible to find "slim" but long speaker I could hang on both sides and maybe over the TV. since it's in the living room I could go without surround. do you have anything to propose in this price range?
Thanks
David
