Connecting ipod/cpu to avr/tv...

hi all-

basic questions, so I thought they would work here.

1. is there a method to hook up an ipod to an AVR that yields higher fideltiy than the standard mini-jack to rca cable? I have digital connections on my yamaha and I'm just wondering if some type of digital connection is possible (through the bottom connection obviously).

2. I should be getting my sony kds-60A3000 (hdtv) real soon. it says it offers both pc connectivity and web surfing via their bravia i-net browser. Is anyone familiar with this?...I THINK IT WOULD RULE!!! I keep hearing about an accessory that's needed that costs $300. what gives?

3. How exactly do I hook my cpu up to my TV anyway? I have a brand new $1600 DELL latitude with a myriad of connections on the back, so I'm sure I have whatever I need...I think I just need the proper cable?

I will be more than happy to supply more info if needed.

thanks, james

My Yamaha 5950 has a special input in the back side for an ipod hook-up.

The optional YDS-10 Universal Dock lets you connect your iPod to this receiver. You can listen to your iPod music and watch iPod images and movies on your monitor via the receiver. You can also operate your iPod via the receiver’s remote unit with the On-Screen Display and charge your iPod. Works with:iPod nano, iPod mini and iPod (Click and Wheel)

Hey, No wonder the water don't work! This pipe is full of wires!!
