A Safe Way To Transport R.P. T.V ?

Howdy,

Does anyone know if it's ok to lay a Rear Projection TV on it's back during transport?
I've sold my 46 in. RP Toshiba to make way for my new plasma telly,
but the Toshiba will only fit in the back of the van lying down.
Will this do it any harm?

Cheers

Re: A Safe Way To Transport R.P. T.V ?

When I bought mine that's the only way it would fit in my car at the time. It was in the box of course, but it was fine when I got it home. The majority of the weight is in the base, so I don't think the back would be under any pressure (which may affect the mirror). I would just be sure there is sufficient support and padding for the sloped area to prevent it from tipping. You will also need to do convergence when it gets to its destination.
