Advise on first HT system
i am just starting to look into buying a HT system. I am trying to stay within a budget of around $1500 for a receiver and speakers. I watch mostly movies and sports and have a 52 inch DLP tv and a denon DVM 1835 DVD player. my family room is large and i would also like to have the option of adding more speakers later on for the outside patio. There are a ton of options with different receivers, i was looking at the pioneer 1016 and was wondering what other receivers were comparable in quality and price. I noticed a couple threads about new 2007 receivers that will have more HD capabilities. I do not anticipate needing this since it will be my first system and i will try to stay within a budget, but with this newer technology being introduced will there be any reduction in price for current receivers?
I have only really heard Klipsch speakers, but don't know how they stack up against others that i have read about and was looking for any recommendations and prices. I have tried to read as much as possible, but unfortunately i just have not heard or had enough experience with audio equipment to maximize my system for what i am spending.
