tv stands

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, so sorry if it is not.

I am buying a Sony 60" xbr2 tv and i had a question about the tv stands.

I don't want to spend alot of money on a tv stand. I don't care really what it looks like, i don't care really much at all about the tv stand to be honest. Is there any reason that i should spend 500 on a good tv stand and if not where can i buy a cheaper one. any advice is welcome.. thanks in advance

Re: tv stands

Anyone who spends $500 on a TV stand must be out of their mind. Will this also hold your components? If not, I built one the perfect height for my TV out of 2X4's and plywood for the top. Then my wife bought a piece of fabric that simply sits over it and hides the entire stand. It cost about $15 to make.

yeah.. or check you local Goodwill, Salvation Army Etc... There's always great used furnature that you can pick up for next to nothing... add a coat of paint or cover it in fabric and your set to go....
