Homthtr? Need help

I need help with terminating some component cables. I have several RG6 cables I want to use to run component lines through some walls. I'd like to know if I can get some good RCA terminals and use them for this? Is it hard to do? I need to do the same with a sub cable as well. Now that the audio portion of the house is taken care of, the video is creeping up on me!
One other thing,... Do remote extenders work well? The type that have two transmitters, one for the gear and one in another room? Thanks!

Re: Homthtr? Need help

Welcome Back!... Hope everything is going well with your move in and install.

Are you moved in already??

Anyways.. to your question.

I like to use Thomas Belts Compression fittings..

For F-connectors (standard coax ends)
http://technicalconnectionsinc.store...thbesnfco.html

You could just use these on all coax ends and then use a F-RCA converter
Either Male or female. I like to use the F-Rca Female for Sub Plates. If you buy a standard Wall plate for F-connectors you just unscrew the F-F barrell that's in the plate and replace it with a F-RCA.

Sorry it's kinda blurry.. I just snapped a quick one with my phone...
All you do is screw on the type of end you need...to the F-Connector End.

You will need a stripping and crimping tool/tools

I do like the all in one Stripper and Crimper..

or you can go the Direct Rca Ends on the ends of the coax...Simular to the one that CameronJ Pictured.

http://technicalconnectionsinc.store...t/snrcaco.html

Then you need a seperate stripper and Crimper like this...

I use Both and more ... depending on the installations.

When running inwall component cable I like using the 5 conductor Mini Coax.. but it sounds like you already have the coax in place so the above solutions should work for you.

Still waiting to see those pictures!!.. I know your busy moving and all.. keep us updated!!

Steve

Thanks for the help again! I'll be getting to this as soon as we move, in about two weeks.
