Need help connecting new TV

Hi all! I need some assistance connecting my new television. I recently purchased a Pioneer 5040 plasma display, my previous television was a Mitsu Diamond 65907. The HD receiver/tuner is/was the Mitsu HD500. Now, here's my question. The Pioneer came with a media box but I'm not certain how to go about connecting the Pioneer media box to the existing Mitsu receiver. Does the Mitsu receiver accept the feed from the Directv satellite or does it run through the Pioneer box first? Any ideas? I'm lost and I haven't been able to view my new tv for two days now.

Here's the rest of the basic units:

B&K AVR307
Mitsu DD6000 dvd
SONY vcr - (don't know the model number)

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

-Daniel

I am not sure I understand....

Each device will have an output that must be input into the new display. Just like your old display.

The specs show the pioneer to have no shortage on inputs.

You only make one connection between the media box and the plasma with the special cable that is provided. Everything else connects to the media box.

Of course, some people connect everything to their home Theater receiver and then just a few connections to the media box.
