HD and Avia (maybe wrong forum)

My tv died and I finally talked my wife into replacing it with a HDTV. Now it isn't anything special, a 30" 16:9 pureflat Toshiba. I am curious if using Avia is a good idea. I used it to set the picture on my old 32" panasonic Tau but it was analog. Should I use it on the HDTV or just leave it the way it is. Or is there another disc that is more appropriate for HD? Thanks.

Avia is still a good way to go.

Remember that a new television will often "drift" a bit in the first hours of use. Use Avia to do a rough calibration now. Plan to do a more careful job after about a month of steady use.
