Ok so I'm learning a great deal from this forum and people responding to my post. I'm greatfull. But now I have more questions.

How many things do people hook up to their revievers?

I'm thinking 5-6 speakers w/sub, VCR or two, DVD, A/B switch set up with B for whole house stereo listening. What else.
What are some of the other connections for .... coaxel, bannana switch, ect ??

Remember I'm learning

Well if you can do without the extra B speaker amp then look for Harman/Kardon. Unfortunatly Yamaha isn't "cream of the crop" with there lower-end recievers and you'll be losing out alot.

Take a look at the HK AVR-130 and HK AVR-230, they are very nice pieces, you can also buy switches that will allow you to put audio in the other rooms...
