Speaker wire decorating

Any technical reason why I shouldn't do this:

http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/slv-11.html

to my exposed speaker wires? It's just a nylon mesh sleeving tube. The only part I'm concerned about is putting the heat srink tubing on the ends cause you use a heat-gun for that. I don't know if the heat will be bad for the speaker wires - I have 12g, good quality wires.

I do this to my computers and various other cabling, just cause I like the way it looks and you can pretty much turn a bunch of cables into one. Handy.

Thanks.

Go for it.

You can get TechFlex braded mesh for a 'botique' look, or simple shrink wrap.

Many expensive/custom wires are dressed up with this stuff. As long as you use shrink-tube only a bit larger than the wires, you should not have to hit it with the heat gun for more than 10-20 seconds - not going to hurt anything.

Thank you. I'll look up the Techflex.

I already own a heat gun - I do a lot of computer modding so it comes in real handy.
