Strange format, what is DSSR Stereo?
I noticed this logo on a movie preview sheet in a film magazine, and it caught my attention. I think i remembered it right, perhaps it was DSST.. can't quite remember, I'll have to go look again. Anyone know what this is? I assume it's a matrixing format, probably foreign, I was just curious. Nothing came up on google, so perhaps I got the name wrong. Any ideas?

Are you sure it wasn't SDDS?

For sure. Not SDDS, I'm familiar with that of course.

OK, I found where i saw it, and it was on a poster for the film "Manic." I saw it again for the ad in today's paper. It is called DSSR Stereo, and I can find no information online. I am assuming this is a foreign format. Does anyone have any idea what it is and how it works? Would be interesting to find out.

Sounds like a shortening for Dolby Stereo Surround, AKA Pro logic. Pro logic is matrix by definition.
