Blu-ray "Blowout" at J&R.com
Titles include Terminator 2 for $7.99 and 3:10 to Yuma for $13.99. Many more.
It's a "weekend" sale. So, presumably it ends Sunday.
There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Re: Blu-ray "Blowout" at J&R.com
Even though T2 and Total Recall have their issues, for $8 it will hold me over. I've bought T2 in so many other forms, what's one more dip in the pool.
Weeds S1 + 2 for less than $25 is just too tough to pass on.
The Descent is finally priced right. A special taste and certainly has a bit of something extra within the genre, but it is one intense ride.

Re: Blu-ray "Blowout" at J&R.com
I plan to drop by J&R in person some time tomorrow afternoon myself. Still debating about a couple of those $8 blue light specials. Maybe I'll end up picking Stargate and Total Recall just to help hold off on T2 since those other 2 might not get all that much of a BD double-dip upgrade (and I don't own Total Recall on DVD at all). Definitely picking up Yuma though (and maybe Crash and Young Guns).

Re: Blu-ray "Blowout" at J&R.com
I showed up too late to pick up 3:10 to Yuma (and Stargate and Total Recall). I wonder how long their supply lasted. Normally, I would've gotten it just fine on the Friday (1st day of weekend sale), but I got the day off from work for Good Friday, so ... And didn't get a chance to drop by Target either. Would've tried ordering online, but the $3 shipping charge (on top of NYC sales tax) negates much of the discount.
Oh well, maybe there will be another good sale w/ Yuma in it not long from now...

I would suspect that will be the case. Once these titles seem to make their way into special sales (like BOGOs, etc.) they seem to stay there. Whereas certain titles NEVER seem to go on sale!

Re: Blu-ray "Blowout" at J&R.com
I managed to get in just under the wire and ordered THE DESCENT for $13.99; trouble is, it's out of stock, so I have to hope jr.com gets it back in stock within 14 days or, according to their policies, they'll cancel my pending order. Never done business with them before, so I have no idea what to expect (*fingers crossed*)...

Re: Blu-ray "Blowout" at J&R.com
I would think The Descent shouldn't be a problem since I'm pretty sure I saw a bunch of that one at the actual store when I dropped by late on Sunday. They usually keep the in-store stuff separate from the online store, which ships from their warehouse, though they seem to be keeping these sales more or less in synch between the two. It may just take a little time (and possibly a phone call from you) for them to ship a copy to you from their in-store inventory, instead of their usual warehouse inventory.
