Unfortunately, looks like the DVDSAVE5 coupon no longer works, which makes this deal a tad less interesting than I had thought. Oh well...

List is already down to 61. Nothing there I'm interested in. Hopefully, they'll re-add some titles.

ETA: Nevermind, just saw a post in the HD Bargains thread that there are multiple categories.

They're all still there. Just be sure to click on the categories in the blue banner near the top of the page. The categories are: Action & Adventure, Drama & Family Friendly, Suspense & Horror, Comedy & Other Great Flicks.

Cool. How things have changed.... it's no longer BOGO

Also can anyone tell me why Amazon doesn't advertise these sales on the Blu-Ray page? I was just looking through titles before I stumbled upon this thread and found no trace of this sale!

Perhaps, that's the future now that the format war is practically over. While the BOGOs were indeed great for our wallets and collections, the format war was bad for the future of HDM in the long haul, so we're just gonna have to take some bad w/ the greater good. Hopefully, they will lower prices some in general to help make up for killing the great deals. For instance, more of Disney's recent offers of $10 rebate/coupon for certain DVD-to-BD upgrades would be nice, eg. PotC 3, The Rock, Crimson Tide.

B2G1 is not bad if prices are lower. Since I normally wanted whatever 2-disc SE version on SD DVD (when available), the prices of HDM aren't quite that much higher anyhow. Of course, it does make certain more marginal titles harder to pick up -- and I guess I might end up sticking w/ steeply discounted SD DVD for those in many cases. In fact, I just finally picked up the OAR Moonstruck along w/ the non-SE Paris, Je T'Aime (~$7.50 each) to go w/ one of my B2G1 orders.

Actually, I hope the DVDSAVE5 coupon returns at some point to help offset the fact we don't seem to be getting BOGOs anymore. That on top of B2G1 would not be bad at all.

No idea, but they do mention the sale on the item page for each title that's on sale.

Re: Amazon.com Blu-ray B2G1 sale (2/12/08)

I notice a few titles on the list that were $20 during the b1g1 sales and are only $15 now, so in the end they work out to the same price. Not too many, though.

The B2G1 offer is about what I expect from this point forward with respect to Amazon. I'd be surprised to see anyother B1G1 anytime soon. We may see them again aroung the holidays but I don't expect them before Fall '08. However I do expect to see some B&M B1G1 offers to around the end of the summer to clear some slower selling titles in order to make room for the holiday releases.
