Almost complete Beethoven set (70 CDs) $26

Amazon US finally has the Sony boxed set of most of Beethoven's works...

And for only $26! http://www.amazon.com/Beethoven-Comp.../dp/B000NDEMAI

I paid about $60 for this set importing it from Amazon DE a few months ago.

See my thread in the Music forum for details. You won't be disappointed.

Mods -- it's actually 60 CDs, not 70. Still a great deal of course.

Thanks, Dennis!

Mine is ordered. They estimate it won't ship until 10/1, which is nearly 2 weeks from now. Do they really take that long on their Super Saver shipping?

Thanks for the link. I already own the comparable Masterworks Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Dvorak and Brahms sets.

Is this a bargain, because it looks like it's the regular price. I'm a little short on money right now, but would definitely buy it in a few weeks if it's still that price. It's only about $2 below the listed MSRP now, though.

At $.43/CD, I am guessing the price is not going down any. I will also guess that listed MSRP is wrong.

Actually, the Masterworks sets are on the budget label Brilliant Classics. Even though the box design for this one looks similar, it's a Sony release. (I hope there aren't 60 jewel cases in there, though. . .)

Chris

I was more wondering if this was a standard price that would still be the same in a month or two or if I should try to find some cash right now to get it before it goes up.

At these prices, could these be decent recordings?
