Weird Amazon Bd sale (8/28)
just a heads up-
I just found out about this a few mintues ago- it's supposed to be a buy 3 get one free sale, but when I placed an order for three titles, one was knocked off...I tried this twice with different orders and it worked both times so it seems to also be a buy 2, get 1 free sale.
Also, there are quite a few titles with reduced prices at the moment
my order consisted of
X-men The Last Stand
Kingdom Of Heaven
Into The Blue
total: $45.xx (or $15.33 each...not bad given two of these are $40 msrp Fox titles!)

Strange doesn't even begin to cover this sale. If you look at the threads on AVS, it's like you need a degree in cryptology in order to figure it out. Once you do though, it can be very rewarding.  |

I got Casino Royale, Apocalypto, and 300 for a tick under $41 deleivered (that includes my 10% off and free shipping).
Unfortunately I could not find any additional currently available titles of either format that I did not have but wanted to own.

I wonder if you can mix 'n match. There's a couple HD DVD's and a couple BD's that I haven't picked up yet that I'm mildly interested in.

I tried to mix Apocalypto with the HD-DVD of 300 and Bourne Supremecy and it was a no go. I tried it with leaving Apocalypto out, and adding the HD_DVD of Goodfellas and it worked.

Yeah, just ordered Phantom of the Opera, TMNT, and The Queen. I'll have to go through the current list at AVS to see if there's anything else I want to pick up. Debated Stargate and Dirty Dancing. Probably should have grouped them better though so that I put all the $19.95 discs together and the more expensive discs together so I could have maximized the savings though.
