Nintendo Wii ????

Has anyone here taken apart the Nintendo Wii sensor bar wire? I have a client who wants to put the Wii in the equip rack but I need to extend the wire from the screen to the base then, I have heard it is a fiber cable, anyone know for sure before I wreck the customers sensor bar wire....

Re: Nintendo Wii ????

Haven't tried that, but I have the wireless sensor bar from Nyko and it works great.

Re: Nintendo Wii ????

I don't have one, but I searched a bit and found that the wire is just a shielded pair. You can cut it apart and solder in a piece of similar cable. One description I read, the person added 30 feet to it. i also found that the wire is that strange stuff that is dificult to solder - the solder just doesn't like to "wet" the wire. You may need more heat than is usual.

Go for it.
