How to plug in speakers out side of surround sound area.

Hey, I have a Onkyo TX-SR605 with 5.1 surround. I also have other parts of the house weird for speakers too. I want to hook speakers into them sometime soon but need a way to hook them into my receiver. I have 8 speakers out side of the surround sound area. Suggestions?

Re: How to plug in speakers out side of surround sound area.

The receiver has a zone 2 preamp output. Connect zone 2 to a 2 channel amp. The speaker outputs of the amp run into a speeaker distribution hub. From there speaker wires run through impedance matching volume controls and on to the speakers. Another more expensive option is a multi-channel amp. With the receiver as a source, you can also add other sources like satellite radio with the amp's multiple inputs. Now, that will create a more complex install and probably cost more but the flexibility may be worth it.

Thanks for taking my tip on better thread titles but you still have this in the wrong section. It has NOTHING to do with sources. This is a receiver or even a project question.
