SACD Source

I realize that this question has probably been asked a hundred times, but please forgive me.

Two days ago I came across my first SACD, Roxy Music’s Avalon, and have become an instant convert to the format only to be disappointed at such a small and apparently dwindling choice of disks. What brick and mortar store, web site etc… currently has the largest/best selection of SACDs?

Thanks
Bart

Re: SACD Source

Best Buy usually has some.
Online, you can check with Amazon.com, Buy.com, Telarc.com.
See here also: http://www.elusivedisc.com/products....FRgENAodvgidug
Also do a Google search.............
Good luck!

Re: SACD Source

I have yet to come across a brick & mortar that has anything remotely resembling a good selection of Hi-Rez discs.

I've had very good luck with these two online places:
http://www.musicdirect.com/default.asp
http://store.acousticsounds.com/

"BE the miracle!"

Re: SACD Source

Borders carries a fair selection of classical SACD's. Of course, they're mixed in with the standard CD's, so it's not that easy to browse.

Re: SACD Source

The Best Buy closest to us, used to have a good selection of sacd and dvd-a music. They don't have as much as they once did. It may differ from region to region. I think they also mixed them with the regular cds. I haven't been in awhile.........

You can also sign up for yourmusic.com, which has a selection of SACD hybrids at 6.99 a piece.
