Need help choosing between 2 htib

The room I'm want to add a home theater to is 12 feet in width and 13 feet in length. The last one I had was a Durabrand ht395 but it got fried during a thunder storm. I've narrowed it down to 2 the RCA RT2390 500 watts or the RCA RTD205 5 disc changer 200 watts. The rt2390 is $140 and the rtd205 is $99.99 which would work best in my small room?

The wattage ratings at that end of the market are quite fanciful.
