Looking for cheaper/smaller TV for dorm room

My brother's a freshman, his roommate dropped out already and took the TV with him. He's looking to spend no more than $200, less if possible, on a "decent" (I know there isn't much in that range) 20-24" TV. HDTV is obviously not a requirement. Just perusing what BB had, there's a 24" RCA that looked decent for $140 after rebate/before tax. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1088680571630 . But I don't want to send him to BB if at all possible . Any recommendations? I'm sure a lot of you have things in this size range in your bedrooms. Thanks.

Stay away from anything with just one cluster of inputs -- one composite, one S-video, one pair of audio inputs, one video choice on the remote. You have to unplug the DVD player completely if you want to use the VCR.

Try to get a set with a real 16:9 mode.

If you can find a "NTSC to VGA converter" and don't need to both use the computer and watch TV at the same time, you can use the computer monitor as a TV and the picture is sharper than a regular TV twice the size. Less weight and bulk to carry around between academic years. If you can find a DVDO iScan reasonably priced, even the earliest model is a superb NTSC to VGA converter and you don't have to open up the computer to install it.
