ADS Upscaler: Could this be the new fad from Upscaling DVD players

ADS Tech Upscaler

This was on AVS and it hasn't blown up yet, but after reading what it does via the manual on PDF, this is very, very interesting. Possibly the next rave in upscaling products. What you guys think? So far I did price it on one of the etailers at 199.00 after a 50.00 rebate. I have an I-Scan Pro and it scales everything to 480p, but I think the ADS can upscale regular video to 1080i with options of video selection to perform the tasks.

One of the unused features of my Samsung T165 ATSC tuner is the ability to scale external sources to 720p and 1080i--somewhat less versatile than this device, which scales to unusual resolutions.

(It's unused because the RGB output doesn't scale-- only component and HDCP compliant DVI. Naturally, this little tidbit is described, in imperfect prose, on page 21 of the manual.)
