SA Explorer 8000HD - Hitachi 57SWX20B
Yesterday I picked up a SA Explorer 8000HD from Comcast.
Before I had the SA 8000HD I had another SA cable box I am not sure of the number. With the old box I was able to send my HD content to one of my Hitachi 57SWX20B's inputs with a component connection. I was also able to send Standard Cable content to another of the Hitachi's inputs with a S-Video input.
When I attempted the same setup with the 8000HD I was unsuccesful. I could not get a picture through the second input with the S-video cable. I subsequently learned that once you use componet cables with the SA 8000 it disables the S-video output.
By only having one input I cannot stretch the SD cable channels without stretching the HD content.
My question is, how can I sent SD cable content to a second input on my Hitachi. That way I can stretch the SD picture without effecting the HD content.
I hope I made myself clear. If not I will try clarify if asked.
Thanks for any info, Pat
