Any thoughts would be appreciated. I have a Samsung DLP television.

I would look at the Toshiba V592. It did just as well as the Panasonic S97 and Denon 2910 and better than the Sony 975V, Denon 1910, and Samsung 841 & 941 in the Secrets Shootout. It includes a VCR (not something I would use, but nice tohave sometimes in a pinch), and is available as low as $156 shipped online or $200 from Best Buy. It uses HDMI for digital video output but this can be converted to DVI easily using the proper cable. I'm currently planning on replacing a dead Bravo D1 with this player.

Here's a link to the best pricei could find online and it's a very reputable online retailer w/ established B&M locations.

Hope this helps

I would read up ALOT on that player via AVS. Mixed reviews indeed. I wouldn't solely rely on secrets tests to buy a player. I personally wouldn't go a Toshiba. I've returned 2 different models of them and even got a letter with regards to a class action lawsuit with regards to the other player.

Eric,
As another option, Alot of people are starting to take note of this player:

The Sony 975 is also a good player.
