Difference between 720P+DVI and 1080i+ component??

I have Voom and was wondering if the difference in picture quality will be noticeable. I'm really happy with my Sammy CRT widescreen but if the difference is significant I'll upgrade to the 60" JVC Dila. I hve a buyer for my set but want to be sure I'm doing the right thing.

Your PQ will not be significant enough to justify the added $$$ you'll spend on the JVC!
Of course, I could be mistaken.
From what I've been able to view, the difference is negligible. Your eyes may say different.
