Opinions Please

Opinions Please!

Let me preface this by saying that I'm new to the Hhome theater world, but have done quite a bit of research.
I want BANG for my buck so please offer me your opinions.

Here is what I am cotemplating so far on a total budget of $5000-$6000:

Projector - Panasonic AE700 (no decision here)
Screen - Dalite 52"x92" High Contrast Cinema Vision
Receiver - Onkyo 602 or Denon 1905
DVD - Bravo D2
Speakers - Polk RM6900 or Infinity TSS1100
Sub - SVS PB10 or Outlaw Audio

This is a basement room being converted to a home theater. Dimensions are 24'x14' (light controlled envrmnt)
I welcome any critique and opinion. I want the movie to look good and sound good, also, HDTV through my cable provider.

Thanks in Advance!

Rich

Only thing that I would change would be the DVD player to a Panasonic S97 or Denon. On a projector, the last thing that you want are video glitches all over your screen. Not saying that the Bravo is a bad player, but with your budget, the Panny or the Denon just have better internals.

My DVDs

Homer: So, Mr. Malloy, it seems that the cat has been caught by the very person who was trying to catch him.
Skinner: How ironic.

Thanks for the recommendation, I haven't read a lot of negative on the Bravo player, but I did go review the S97S that you recommend and it looks like people really like it. A comperable Dennon model would be the Denon 1910? The 2901 is like double the price of the S97.

How about the receiver and speakers if you had to choose?

Thanks for the opinion, I really appreciate the feedback!

Since you're asking about recommendations for a complete system, your post has been moved to here. In the future, when asking for specific-model recommendations, please post in the appropriately designated hardware area. The Basics area is for general discussion at the beginner level. Thank you.
