Pioneer DV-578A ? Is it multi-region??

I'm new to this stuff , so I'm sorry if this has been answered. However, I bought this player a few weeks ago at BestBuy. I also bought the Jurassic Park Trilogy in the Superbit format online. It says it is a region 2 DVD , yet all four discs play on my player. Is there something I'm missing here, because I was under the assumption that the Pioneer player was not multi-region?

I don't own the 578A, but it is also my assumption from what I've read that the Pioneer is not region free. Probably the DVD set you bought is region 0 even though it says region 2, meaning it will play on any DVD player, no matter what region it is set for.
