Hi all!
I'm toying with the idea of purchasing a VCR/DVD recorder unit (in particular, the Sanyo DRW-1000) to transfer some old VHS tapes to DVD. This unit is an all in one VHS/DVD unit - plop in the VHS tape and tranfers to DVD. I'm not worried about editing out commercials (I can fast forward thru those
) Any thoughts on this unit?
Also, how many hours do you get on one DVD-R/-RW? I have read 6 hours but that seems a lot -- or would this be about right for recording at VHS-quality (ie, VHS source material)?
If there are some threads that discuss all this, please feel free to point me in the right direction. New to the HTF and there's sooo much to read!
