DVD--Want to Upconvert to 720p/1080i

Hello all,

I've had a Samsung HD-931, but it seems a little buggy in that the audio seems to come a milisecond before the video. Not a terrible lag, but just enough to notice and drive you crazy once you know it's there.

I spoke with a Best Buy representative who said that a new DVI player was due out around May 20. Does anybody know what this might be? Apparently, new models come out yearly, so there should be newer ones coming out pretty soon (so they say).

Or, does anyone recommend a good DVD DVI player that will upconvert to 720p/1080i?

There is a new model Samsung DVI upconverter DVD player comoing out soon, its supposed to improve on the HD-931.

Thanks Don. Have you heard anything as far as a timetable? I really only want to play a DVD through DVI, and I hope I don't have to wait terribly long.

Oh well, patience, I guess.

Not precisely, but it sounds like it will be soon, perhaps in a month or two?
