Panasonic DMR-E50 and Ritek Discs?

I have been stung too many times; can anyone confirm without reservation that Ritek G04 DVD-R 4X media will work on my Panny DMR-E50? Any experience with long term reliability would also be welcome.

Much thanks

Sam,

I own the E-50 model and use Ritek 04's exclusively. So far out of about 80 blanks, I've only had one coaster. The only bad thing about them so far is that I couldn't get them to play on my father-in-law's Pioneer DVD player. Other than that, compatibility hasn't been a problem for me.

I just purchased 50 of these from www.shop4tech.com ($35) and they seem to be working great on my Panny E-60. I'm definitely sticking with the Ritek brand.

They seem to play fine everywhere, with one exception ... I can confirm that my 1st gen Pioneer DV-500 (ca. 1997) won't play any DVD-R.
