Ipod question

Just wondering I saw it works with firewire, and usb 2.0. I was wondering if it also works with usb 1.1 or whatever the old usb is called

Not according to my iPod box. You must have 2.0, and a cable, Apple didn't include a 2.0 USB cable.

The consensus over at iPodLounge.com is that it will work but transfers will occur at slower speeds.

I've used both Ipod and Nomad as well as Archos and the Ipod wins hands down.

Just say NO to the Nomad! I still own an original Nomad Zen, but it has been collecting dust since I picked up my iPod. What I really don't like about the Zen are the small screen, navigation is not as "natural" as on the iPod, the size and weight of the Zen (both my Zen and iPod are 20GB and the iPod almost weight like nothing) and, my biggest complaint, the warranty on the Zen (and any Creative Jukebox for that matter) is only 3 months! The warranty on the iPod is 1 full year; I've bought less expensive products with warranties longer than that of my Zen!
