dual unit VCR/DVD ?
I am debating on getting my parents a VCR/DVD combo unit for XMAS. They currently have a VCR but no DVD player. They don't have the room for another electronic unit so I just can't go buy them a DVd player. I will htrow the VCR in another room and replace it with the dual unit but I don't know which to get. Heres the delema: my parents are divorced and my mother has a Panasonic 53wx53 HDTV Widescreen(same one I have) and my father has just a plain 27 inch tube tv(he is not into the fancy stuff, get this he still has an antenna on the roof, without even cable). So I guess I should get a unit that has progressive scan capability for my mother and either the same unit for dad or a unit w/o progressive scan. Here are my choices I have narrowed it down to(keep in mind my parents are not A/V fanatics, just regular video watchers):

I am leaning towards the Panasonic for both mon & dad. What do you all think?
