Philips 963-SA, need help.........

I just purchased a Philips 963-SA DVD/SACD player over the weekend and I have a few questions. I only want to set it up for 2 channel playback for now since I do not have 6 channel pass through capability.

1) The Philips manual is a bit confusing when it comes to setup. If I enter "stereo" for the analog output, will it automatically know not to use bass management? I use full range speakers.

2) The SACD bass management feature is not clear to me. THE manual says "SACD bass management bypass" I have it set to "on" because I do not have a sub connected via the analog outputs. Is that correct?

3) Movie mode and music mode, which of these should I be using? I currently chose Music Mode and set my L&R speakers to large.

4) Finally, this is a video question. IF I play a DVD that has multi angle option, the angle icon displays at the upper left of the screen and you cannot turn it off. It is very distracting to say the least. My Toshiba SD-5109 has a much more bearable icon which I can deal with. Is there any way to disable or turn the icon off?

Thank you very much for your input, I appreciate you taking the time.

PS. In the short time I have had this player I have played music mostly. CD's definitley sound excellent, I am very impressed. I only have 2 SACD's at the moment but the 2 I have don't impress me as much as CD playback does. Santana Abraxas(2 ch only) and Roger Waters-In the Flesh(Multi/stereo)Neither one is that great sonically IMO, anyone own either of these and care to comment?
