Samsung TS160 and PIP TV

Hey guys,

Quick question I was hoping someone could answer...

I was told by the people at Best Buy (who are certainly NOT the most reliable sources), that I cannot use the PIP on my Sony KP-51WS510 using the Samsung SIR-TS160 DirecTV HD receiver. That the receiver, even though there are separate inputs for the HDTV DirecTV sat feed and for an antenna feed, will only give me one feed at a time, and the PIP is useless.

Is this true? And if so, does anyone know if there is a way around this, or if Samsung is coming out with a model that allows for PIP?

Yes, you were informed correctly. The PIP of your TV set can contain different sources from within your home theater, but not 2 from the SIR-TS160. With most DirecTV/Digital Cable boxes, this has almost always been the case.
