running 4 speakers with a Bose 2nd-zone Amp?

Looking for some advice on a Bose Lifestyle 28 system. I need to run 4 speakers(2 rooms with L & R) with Bose 2nd zone Amp. The house has been pre-wired so can't do anything about the wiring. The patio and Main living room has L & R with 2 conductor 16AWG wire from each speaker to it's own volume control box. Each volume control box(2 of them) has a 4-conductor 16AWG wire to the Bose lifestyle is step-up. I need to run these 4 speakers with Bose 2nd zone Stereo amp. All the speakers are 8ohm's and I think the amp puts out 45 watts (not sure about this). I bought the 2 Niles(VCS-2D-IM/VCM-2D-IM) stereo/mono impedance magnifying volume controls. I'm not sure if this is the best way to do this and if it is I'm confused how to set the jumpers.
I need help on how is the best way to pull this off. Did I buy the correct volume controls?

Thanks for any help.
