How good is the video playback on the Pansonic DMR E50K?

I am getting ready to purchase a dvd recorder and was going to put it in my bedroom. But I have heard that this model has the DCDi Faroudja chip. Is that correct? Do you think I would get better progressive scan video playback on dvd movies with the Panny compared to my 2 1/2 year old JVC XV-723GD player? If so, I will put the Panny in my main system and move the JVC to my bedroom. Thanks.

None of the specs appear to mention DCDi, and one would think this would be a selling point worth mentioning in the online specs.
