CanoScan LiDE 80 Drivers

So I get a new MacPro, and successfully get the stuff from my old computer migrated onto it. However, I can't work the scanner, as it says "Failed to Open A Driver", so I download the driver updates, and when I try to click install it says "Cannot access a file named "CanoScanLiDE80". (Error Code =-5000).

Canon's website support is legendary, meaning that, like a legend, it does not exist. Any tips on what to do?

I assume you no longer have the installer for the scanner driver? I'm not a fan of the migration tool and I suspect that the driver either didn't get transferred or there's some sort of permissions problem associated with it.

Perhaps give the canadian drivers a shot.

or uk drivers might help - CanoScan LiDE 80

I've been down that road with print and scan drivers in X.

I found the disc and reinstalled it, and now it works okay. Now my Canopus ADVC-300 is giving me grief.
